Study in beautiful Bosnia-Herzegovina this summer: Summer Session I, May
13-June 14. The first two weeks will be spent doing preparatory course work in
Muncie. For the next three weeks, we will travel to Bosnia to study three
different cities (Sarajevo, Zenica, and Mostar), and take day trips to castles
and towns dating back to the Middle Ages.
Bosnia-Herzegovina is a post-socialist, multi-ethnic country in Southeastern
Europe, home to people who practice Islam, Catholicism, Orthodox Christianity,
Judaism, and atheism. Students will explore the culture, history, art, music,
architecture, food, and literature of this region as they develop their
ethnographic research skills. No prior anthropology courses are required to
take this class and it's open to students with sophomore standing or above,
including graduate students.
